Murrieta Motorcyclist Killed by Suspected Drunk Driver
A man was in custody on August 15th on suspicion of manslaughter and drunken driving after allegedly driving his pickup truck into a motorcyclist in Wildomar, killing the rider.
The collision occurred on Clinton Keith road, est of Palomar Street, at 3:15 p.m. on Sunday, August 14, said Wildomar police Sgt. Steve De La Vara. John Boehning, 47, of Murrieta was transported to Inland Valley Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5 p.m.
The Riverside County coroner said Boehning was struck by a truck head-on. Police arrested Jose Lujan, 30 of Vista in San Diego County on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and gross vehicluar manslaughter, De La Vara said.
